Recruiting Scams

The International School of Bremen does not use recruiting or placement agencies that charge candidates an advance fee of any kind (e.g., placement fees, immigration processing fees, etc.).

Periodically, the International School of Bremen does engage recruiting and/or placement agencies to help us identify potential candidates for specific positions. If you are contacted by a legitimate recruiting or placement agency, there should be no cost to you, the job seeker.

Several good international schools have recently had their website cloned and candidates have been asked to send large amounts of money. All international candidates are urged to be diligent in investigating potential schools during the recruiting process and prior to signing a contract.

Use extreme caution if you have been asked for money or private information. If you have been asked by an international school to send money to cover any costs, you are probably the target of an elaborate scam. Be aware that these fraudulent activities seem to be becoming more frequent. Do not send money or pass on banking information to any school seeking professionals and offering employment.
